Happy New Year!
Normally I have a sarcastic post about how the gyms will be filled today and then everyone will quit. I never had that issue at my gym, we never got a big influx at new years because I never touted the quick-fix style of training - it was all about the long-term (or maybe it was just because I was terrible at marketing.) Regardless, no gyms will be crowded this year (or at least I hope so!)
If you haven’t subscribed to the paid version of this newsletter, this just a quick reminder that I have a good collection (and still growing!) of plans that you can do at home. Particularly, if you follow the “SBKB” plans, those are the ones that I’m doing in my driveway - even in the Colorado snow! I’m also open to suggestions on programs that you want to follow as you navigate the new year of fitness without a gym available.
If you are a subscriber and are close to South Boulder (and can commit to coming regularly) reach out for an invite and I’ll add you to the mailing list that announces the time and location of our socially-distanced, outside workouts.
I remember back when the whole lock down stuff started, I predicted 12-18 months of this. It looks like I’m still on track to be right - always trust the modelers (or at least the ones that understand statistics, dynamics, and second-order differential equations). We’re about half way through this - so make sure you commit to some type of non-traditional fitness now so that you can stay healthy.
