Hi Michael - I emailed you earlier in the week about programming and I’d like to get started on one of your programs asap. I’m considering starting the Spring 2021 plan. Should I just jump in and start at the beginning? I’m experienced with Kettlebells but don’t train them regularly (more barbell and dumbbell work with kb mixed in). Thanks!
Hi Brad - sorry, I must have missed your email. The spring plan is a fun one, the Q&D work is a little taxing, so it might be nice to start with something else before you do that one. I have a new program starting next week that is less time-driven and more heavy at-your-own-pace work. You might want to check that when you see it on Monday. Or you can look back to last summer's Reg Park program. That's a good one to get practice on the key kettlebell movements with no time pressure (https://sbkb.substack.com/p/sbkb-reg-park). Let me know what you choose and how it works for you.
Does your recommendation change if my goal is to build some endurance ahead of mid summer hiking, back packing, and peak bagging? I also want something that is time efficient and leaves gas in the tank for training hikes and climbs on the weekends. My original email sent to info@barbellstrategy.com has more back ground info that might be helpful.
Weird, the info email doesn't have anything in it from you, and generally those are supposed to be forwarded to my main account, so I should have seen it. If you can resend it to mike@barbellstrategy.com I'll reply there.
